Kansas - Boston College

Kansas continues to solidify its resume for a #1 seed.

Oregon - Nebraska

Nebraska is the last Big XII team for me to see.  They take an early 9 point lead over the visiting Ducks.  Oregon comes back, this game is see-saw, see-saw.  Tajuan Porter is filling it up from 3.  Malik Hairston is frustratingly making errors on the little stuff.  Ducks down 1 with 2 minutes left.  Ducks turnover, Ducks turnover and a third Ducks turnover.  Down 3 with 20 seconds left.  Tajuan Porter takes a 3 with 9 seconds left.  Its good and he's fouled.  A career 91% FT shooter.  He misses it and we go to overtime.  Its just not the Ducks day.  #16 loses 88-79 Nebraska in a shocker.

Pittsburgh - Oklahoma State

Oklahoma State just doesnt have the talent.  Hard to compare Sean to Eddie when it would be apples to oranges.  Although Sean is still in the top 3 of Coaches I Expect to See Their Head Explode During a Game (along with Bruce Pearl and Gary Williams.)  Pitt is Pitt, never fun to watch, never interesting but they win by double digits

Texas - Rice

Pete Gillen.  Something you have to deal with when watching games on CSTV.  Rice is seriously limited on the offensive end of the floor. When Morris Almond graduated last year, he took their entire offense ti Utah with him.  Rice averaged 55 pts/game over the first 5 games of the year.  Everyone for Texas is better than anyone on Rice.  Yet, it is a 10 pt game halfway through the second half.  Texas stretches to 18 at just under the 8 minute mark.  People in the know seem to have lots of respect for Rice's coach Willis Wilson, but his teams continue to leave no mark.  Their postseason chances are helped only by the new CBI and the additional 16 slots it provides.

Texas A&M - Texas St

Texas St 20 Texas A&M 19 with 8 minutes gone?  Ok, Aggies go on 12-1 run to take a lead over the Bobcats.  Texas A&M driving, driving, driving to the hole and the Bobcats are settling for long shots.  I am watching this game on FoxSports Southwest and there isnt any evidence that this is part of anything like the Aggie Sports Network, but the color commentator needs to be nominated for the award - Biggest Homer of the Year in addition to Dumbest, Stupidest TV Talker (where he will face serious competition from Bob Wenzel.)  The size and athleticism of this Aggie team is way too much for this opponent from the Southland Conference.  43-24.  A 24-4 run. 83-53 Aggie domination with 10 minutes to play.
