The annual event in Old Town Alexandria.  Lots of bagpipe bands, dog clubs, men in skirts, family clans and historical re-enactments.

Good. Very good place near Landmark in Alexandria.  Buffet for $8.

Mr Pho - DC Restaurant

Out in Falls Church near alot of the pho joints.  Nice people run this place.

Moses Pupuseria - DC Restaurant

One of the few remaining old school places on 14th Street.  I miss it being a gritty area.  Anyhow you can get chorizo and eggs with rice, beans and tortillas here for about $6. 

Nats - Mets

Me(l)ts-dwon!  Ok, that's my attempt at a New York Post-style headline.  The first few innings of this one were ugly.  Mets up 4-0.  Nats with cold bats.  Then suddenly, big inning and its tied, and then big innings for the Nats just continued.  A big 12-4 win.

14th at L Street Vending - DC Restaurant

My prayers have been answered!  Finally a street cart in DC that goes beyond hot dogs and half smokes.  This place serves an authentic cooked on the spot bulgogi, they also have spicy chicken, and bibimbop.  I arrived at 12:50 to a long line, when I finally received my food around 1:10ish, they announced that they only had enough for 5 more people. 

Dixie Bones BBQ - DC Restaurant

I have read about this joint in several sources, so what the hell.  It was fine, the ribs and collards plate though just wasnt worth $18.

Nats - Marlins

Nats win!  Walk-off double by Jesus Flores (aka Jesus Flowers) with two outs in the 9th. Only 14,000 peeps at RFK to see the win streak extended to 4.  My thought on the sports fans in DC - YOU SUCK!  There is more to it than remembering that the Redskins won the Super Bowl in 92.  Seriously, how "devoted" can you be, how much does it take when those fat fucks only play 16 games a year.  Whoopdefucking do!  YOU SUCK!
