Life - New TV Show

NBC's "Life" is a gritty, off-the-wall drama that dabbles in the deep and the deadpan. A conspiracy copshow with lots of room for character development, director David Semel, who delivered "Heroes'" impressive debut last season, has helmed a compelling pilot. The pilot -- and one would assume the show -- filmed as part documentary, part copshow, vacillates between interviews about Crews' murder trial and his current workload with the department.

Cane - New TV Show

Easily the best pilot I have seen so far this new season.  By far - and I didnt really want to like this show since it is a mainstream drama.  Seriously, its good - Hill Street Blues and LA Law in their prime kind of good.  A nice suprise is that Lee Tergeson (Beecher from OZ) is a supporting character - this time as a bad guy.

Pushing Daisies - New TV Show

A quirky show that the critics love.  It definitely has potential, although it does remind me a little bit of Lemony snicket and that aint in a good way.

Carpolers- New TV show

Oh, I dont know.  I was an ok way to waste 22 minutes.  Definitely not destination tv.  I cant imagine this show lasting more than a season, but who in the hell thought that Two and a Half Men would find an audience. 

Cavemen - New TV show

C'mon. Curiosity.  Not good. Not bad.  Not a chance of making it.

Aliens in America - New TV Show

A new comedy from The CW that sounds awful.  Somehow, the series exhibits heart and musters a few genuine laughs.  Airing after Everyone Hates Chris this show has similarities with that show, but might more closely remind viewers of The Wonder Years.  Highlights seem to be Scott Patterson (Luke from Gilmore Girls) as the Dad and the over the top funny lady who portrays the mom.

Moonlight - New TV Show

Vampire show CBS-style, which basically means it can't be as good as if this were on Fox in the 90's (Kindred, starring C Thomas Howell) or the WB in the 00's (Angel.)  Highlight of this, of course, is Jason Dohring (aka Logan from Veronica Mars.)  Seems as if this one will be the usual - solve a murder a week formula.

Bionic Woman - New TV Show

From the people who revived Battlestar Galactica, which is an awesome show that  succeeds on the strength of writing and characters. The creative team is strong enough to remain true to a vision, the actors talented enough to bring astonishing writing to vivid reality. They tried to go to the well again (Campy 70's project with a solid idea at the core.) Revive. Make it better. Stronger. Faster. The influences of Dark Angel and Alias are clearly felt in the pilot episode, but not always in a good way.  So if anything, Bionic Woman teaches us that lightning doesn't strike twice.  The highlight of this show (as expected) is Katee Sackhoff.  Not only does her body of work speak for itself, but in this situation she's much more intriguing than the main characters.

Big Shots - New TV Show

The Sex in the City girls as guys - very pigish guys.   Predictable but not that bad.
